This iteration of the Nike SB Blazer Mid Shoes is the brainchild of a playful collaboration between Frog Skateboards and Nike SB. With a hairy suede upper in lucid green, the real unique detailing comes from the chenille material frog mascot peeking out from behind the Swoosh on the outer panel thatâs finished with meticulously crafted embroidered detailing. Ladybirds run the length of the laces as a nod to the collaborating brands logo and the heel tab is adorned in sail coloured suede with a âfrogâ embellishment, this subtly coloured upper is brought together with a clean white midsole that also features ladybird detailing.
With great heritage behind the design of the Blazer Mid, the shoe also provides the utmost in skateboard functionality. The sockliner is designed to provide optimal impact cushioning using a Zoom Air unit for good measure, whereas the mid-top silhouette provides extra ankle support. The vulcanised outsole construction ensures a great foot-to-board feel, with the signature Nike SB herringbone tread for traction.
Frog Skateboards was born in New York City; transferring their signature playful skate style to MS paint to decorate everything from tees, headwear and decks. With a hefty team including Jesse Alba, Chris Milic and Pat Gallaher, it's obvious why a giant like Nike wanted to collaborate.
